UNITED STEELWORKERS LOCAL 9511

United Steelworkers (USW) Local #9511 is comprised of 900+ members across the province of Ontario who conduct driver’s licence examinations for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) at the  province’s DriveTest Centres.  Our diverse and professional membership conduct nearly one million road tests and over half a million written examinations each year across the province, upholding the MTO’s high standards and keeping Ontario’s roads some of the safest anywhere.The United Steelworkers is the largest private-sector union in North America with over 850, 000 members.   As part of USW District 6, we are counted in the 225, 000 members in Canada.  USW Canada is the most diverse union in the county, representing members in nearly every industry and in every job imaginable, in all regions of the country.
