Contract Language – Being sent home prior to the end of your scheduled shift

Clarification on Volunteer vs Sent Home. Article 18.9 

Volunteer

• When the supervisor asks  for volunteers ,it means you may choose to leave early
• Volunteers are always asked from top seniority then down

Sent Home

• When the supervisor tells  you your shift is ending early due to a lack of work 
• If no one volunteers employees are sent home in reverse order of seniority from bottom seniority then up 

Also Note ** Article 18.10

• No employee will be sent home if there is 30 minutes or less remaining in the employee’s regularly scheduled shift
